You can find Madaame Beauty Salon on the ground floor of Vijay Chambers, located in Sadashiv Peth. Since we are on the ground floor, it is easy for people to walk right in without needing to use the elevators or stairs of the building. Sadashiv Peth is a very active part of Pune, filled with old houses and new shops, so there is always a lot to see outside our door. Inside the salon, the setup is quite practical. We have different sections for hair and other beauty tasks so that everything has its own place. The lighting is just normal, enough for us to see what we are doing clearly. We see a lot of women from the local neighborhood who come in on a regular basis. They often bring news about what is happening on their streets. The shop feels like a small part of the community here. We have our various tools and products organized on the shelves, though it can get a bit cluttered during the busy hours. We are constantly sweeping up hair and folding towels to keep things in order. It is a humble place, and we don't try to make it seem like something it isn't.
