Our office is right on Pune Satara Road. It’s always noisy outside with all the cars and buses going by. Life Insurance Co Corporation Of India is the name on the door. It’s one of those places where you see a lot of people carrying blue folders. We have desks set up for the staff and a small area for visitors to sit down while we look up their details on the computer. Sometimes the system is slow, so we end up chatting about the weather or the traffic on the way in. It’s just how it goes. We deal with the day-to-day things like people renewing their plans or asking about how much they owe this month. The walls are a bit plain, maybe could use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We aren't trying to be a big corporate skyscraper, just a local branch where you can get your questions answered without too much fuss. Most people who live around here know this stretch of Pune Satara Road is always busy. We try to keep the paperwork organized so when someone comes in, we can find their file quickly. It's mostly paper and pens and the sound of the stapler going off. We're here every weekday, just doing the work. There is a small tea stall nearby where we usually go when we take a break from the computers.
