Laxminandan Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

Laxminandan Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is a group of women farmers based in Nhavare, which is part of the Shirur area in Pune district. We operate from the place of Narhari Valmick Kareka. It is a local effort where we all come together to manage our farming activities. Most of us have been working on farms since we were kids, and we thought it was time to have our own collective. It is a bit different when the women are running the show, and we take a lot of pride in that. We handle everything from planting to harvesting. The work is physically demanding, but we are used to it. We meet up in Nhavare to discuss our plans for the season and how to handle the crops we grow. It is not some big corporate operation. We just sit around, drink some tea, and talk about what needs to be done on the land. Being in Pune district gives us some good opportunities, but we still face the same challenges as any other farmer with the weather and the markets. We do not use any fancy language or complicated systems. It is just us working the soil and trying to make a living for our families. We want to show that we can do this well and keep our community thriving. It is a lot of responsibility, but doing it together makes it much easier to handle the daily stress of the farm.
