We’ve got this little shop called Laxmi Dry Fruits over on SV Road 6 in Chinchwadagaon. It’s one of those places that smells like cashews and raisins the moment you step inside. We spend a lot of our time just weighing things out and putting them into bags. The shelves are pretty packed, and sometimes it's hard to keep everything perfectly tidy when people are coming in and out all day. Chinchwadagaon is a busy place, especially on market days. Our shop isn't very big, so it gets crowded pretty fast. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time. The floor is a bit worn down from all the foot traffic, but it adds character, I suppose. My hands are usually a bit dusty from handling the almonds and walnuts. We don't really do fancy packaging; it’s mostly just clear bags and a scale. People come in for their monthly supply or just a small snack. We know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s a regular routine, opening up early and closing when the street gets quiet. Sometimes we sit out front on a stool when there’s a gap in customers. SV Road is always noisy with traffic, but you get used to it. It’s just a normal shop run by people who live nearby. We don't try to be anything else or act like we are some big chain. It is just us and the fruit.
