Kushte Nursing Home

We are over at Chatur Apartments on Law College Road. It’s a pretty well-known part of town, especially being so close to the Film Institute. You can often see students walking by or people taking walks under the big trees that line the street. The nursing home itself is inside the apartment complex, which makes it feel a bit more like a home and less like a cold institution. We have five apartments that we use for the different sections of the home. It’s a bit of an unusual layout, but it works for us. You have to walk through the gate and find the right entrance. Inside, it’s mostly quiet, except for when the nurses are moving around or someone is visiting. We have the old-style windows that let in a good breeze. The furniture is practical and has been around for a while. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we are more focused on the actual care. Sometimes the parking in the lane is a nightmare, but that’s just Law College Road for you. We see a lot of older folks who live in the area. They like coming here because it’s familiar. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea for the staff and sometimes for the visitors. It’s a steady pace of work. We’ve been here at Kushte Nursing Home for a long time and we know the neighborhood inside out. We just do our thing.
