Surendra Nursing Kadagi

Our place, Surendra Nursing Kadagi, is at 20/24 in the Pune Kothari Pole area. We are right near Hotel Ashok, which is how most people find their way to us since the lanes around here can get a bit confusing if you aren't local. We do nursing work, which means our days are never really the same. Sometimes it’s very quiet and we are just tidying up or checking our supplies, and other times it’s a lot of running around. The building is older, so it has high ceilings and those big windows that let in a lot of light but also a bit of dust from the street. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Hotel Ashok across the way is always busy, so there’s a lot of foot traffic outside our door. We keep a small kettle in the back for making tea when we get a break. The floors are stone and they stay cool even when it’s hot outside, which is nice. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and a few charts we need for work. It’s a practical space meant for doing a job, not for looking pretty. We know the people on the street and they know us. It’s just a regular part of the community here, trying to do our bit every day. It works for us and keeps us busy.
