Kumar Resort

We have been here on the Bombay - Pune Road for quite a while now. If you have driven this way towards Lonavala, you probably saw our sign from the highway. It is a big place with lots of rooms and some slides for the kids to use in the water area. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud because of the heavy trucks going towards Pune at all hours of the night, but inside the rooms, it is mostly okay. We spend a lot of our time cleaning the pool and making sure the kitchen is ready for the weekend rush because it gets very busy on Saturdays and Sundays. People stop by because they are tired of driving or they want to see the hills for a day or two. The weather here in 410401 changes fast; one minute it is sunny and then it starts raining out of nowhere. We keep a few extra umbrellas behind the front counter for that reason. Most of us living in the nearby villages work here, so it feels like a neighborhood spot even if it is a resort. We do not have anything too fancy or high-tech, just basic rooms and a place to sit and eat. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint in some of the hallways, but we keep things functional for everyone. It is just a regular spot on the road where you can get some rest. We see a lot of families coming through with their kids. Sometimes the monkeys from the hills come down near the back fence.
