Krushidoot Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our office is in Pargaon, right here in Junnar. We are based at Nivruti Chavan’s place. Junnar is a good area for farming, especially with the weather we get, but it still takes a lot of effort to make things work. We formed this producer company because we wanted to have a better way to handle our crops. There are quite a few of us involved now. We spend our days out in the fields and then we come together at the office to plan our next steps. It is a small room with some files and a lot of talk about onions and tomatoes. We don't use any corporate language because we wouldn't even know where to start with that. We just speak plain English and keep things honest. Sometimes we have a hard time with the transportation because the roads can get blocked or the trucks are too expensive. We try to figure out solutions that work for everyone in the group. It is a slow process and we are still learning how to manage the business side of things. We aren't polished or professional in the way city people are. We are just farmers who want to make sure our families are taken care of. It is a community thing and we take a lot of pride in the fact that we are doing it ourselves.
