Krishna Varities

You can find Krishna Varities at Sr No 15 on the Pune Saswad Road in Hadapsar. It’s a busy stretch of road and we get a lot of commuters stopping by. Our shop has a bit of everything, which is why we call it varieties. There are shelves packed with all sorts of small items people might need for their homes. We don't have a very big sign, but the locals know where we are. The floor is tile but it gets dirty fast with people coming in from the dusty road. We spend a lot of time dusting the items and rearranging things so they fit. It’s a family-run kind of place. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. In the mornings, we open up early to catch the people heading to work. The traffic outside can be quite loud, especially the buses going towards Saswad. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit and read the paper when it’s quiet. Sometimes a stray dog comes and sits near the door for shade. We don't have any fancy marketing. We just sell what people ask for and try to keep the stock full. It’s a simple life running a shop on this road. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but our little spot stays mostly the same.
