Krishna Varieties

Our shop is situated in Crystal Arcade in Kothrud, very close to Sutar Hospital in the Azad Nagar area. We sell a bit of everything here, from small home items to things for kids. It’s a fairly small space, so we often have boxes stacked up high against the walls. We get a lot of locals from the neighborhood coming in for their daily supplies. I usually open up the shutters around ten in the morning and stay until the market starts to slow down late at night. My wife helps me out on the weekends when it gets especially crowded with shoppers. We’ve been in this exact spot for a long time now. The shelves are almost always full of household goods and various small things that people realize they need in a hurry. It can be a little bit messy sometimes, but I usually know where everything is kept. We don’t have a very big sign outside, just the one at the front of the arcade that lists all the shops. People know us because we’ve lived here in Kothrud for most of our lives. We try to keep the prices fair for everyone who walks in. It’s just a regular store, nothing fancy about it. Sometimes we sit outside on a small stool and talk to the other shop owners nearby. It’s a nice community we have here. We don't do any big displays or advertising. We just sell what is needed.
