Krishna Auto Spares

If you know the Market Yard area near Shree Ganpati Paper, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. We are right opposite Kalyan Chambers at number 27. Krishna Auto Spares is a bit of a cluttered place, but that’s how auto shops usually are. We have shelves stacked high with boxes, and sometimes only we know exactly where the specific bolt or gasket is hiding. It’s dusty work, and our hands are rarely clean by the end of the day. The market gets very crowded, especially when the delivery trucks are trying to squeeze through the narrow lanes. We mostly deal with mechanics and guys who like to fix their own bikes or cars. They come in looking for something specific, and we spend time digging through the inventory to find it. We don't have a fancy waiting area or anything like that. People just stand by the counter while we look up parts in the old ledgers or on the computer. It’s a lot of back and forth, checking sizes and making sure the threads match. Sometimes we have a tea delivered from the stall nearby while we work. The noise from the street is constant, with horns honking and people shouting, but it’s part of the job. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now, and we’ve seen the buildings around us change, but our shop stays pretty much the same. It’s just honest work, selling parts that keep people moving.
