Being in a gala means it’s more of a functional space rather than a fancy office. We have plenty of room for moving things around and storing what we need to. Murshadpur is a bit on the edge of town, so it's not as noisy as the main market, but there’s still plenty of movement around. The walls are just plain concrete and the floor is hard, but it’s what we need for the work we do. We spend most of our time here sorting through stuff or meeting with the local growers who come in from the surrounding villages. Ashti can be quite dry, and the dust tends to settle on everything if we don't keep after it with a broom. We don't have a big staff, just a few local guys who know how to get things done. It’s not a corporate environment by any stretch. We sit on plastic chairs and use a simple table for all our meetings. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up the paperwork when the season is busy. The sunlight comes in through the big front door of the gala in the afternoons. It’s an honest day's work for us, making sure the producer company keeps running as it should in this part of Beed. We just take things one day at a time here.
