Koteshwar Timbers

Koteshwar Timbers is situated at Survey No 412/2 on the Pune Mumbai Road in Kasarwadi. We are right across from Alfa Laval Limited, which is a big landmark around here. Our yard is usually full of wood and the smell of sawdust is everywhere. It is a very physical job, so we are usually covered in a bit of dust by the end of the day. The office is just a small cabin at the front of the property. It has a heavy door to keep the noise of the Pune Mumbai Road out, but it doesn't always work. We have been in Kasarwadi for a long time and have seen the Lokandwala Township and Akurli Road area grow up around us. There are always trucks coming in and out to drop off logs or pick up orders. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy brochures. People usually find us because they saw the sign while stuck in traffic or someone told them about us. We keep a pot of tea going all day for the workers and anyone who stops by to chat. The rain can be a bit of a problem for the wood, so we spend a lot of time moving things under the sheds when the clouds look dark. It is hard work, but it is what we know. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and don't worry too much about the rest.
