Our office is located at 103 Siddhivinayak Aurum, just behind Eden Garden in Viman Nagar. It’s a bit of a change from being on a factory floor, as this area is quite developed and has a lot of nice buildings around. We spend our time coordinating things from here, dealing with all the cranes and lifting equipment that we look after. Even though the office looks clean and modern, we still feel like the same people who grew up around heavy machinery. There’s a lot of coordination involved, making sure parts get to where they need to go and that the technicians are scheduled correctly. Viman Nagar is a busy area, and finding parking can be a bit of a struggle some mornings. We usually have a lot of paperwork to get through, and the phones are always buzzing with someone needing a crane part or a service check. We have our coffee together in the small pantry area and talk about the weekend. It’s not a very formal place despite being in a big building. We try to keep things straightforward and help out when a customer calls with a problem they can’t solve. It’s mostly about keeping the gears turning behind the scenes. We’ve been at this for a while and we just try to do right by the people who rely on us. It’s a steady kind of life here in Pune.
