Kohinoor Stores & Gift House

We have been here at the Manipal Center in Pimpri for a good while now. If you go to the North Block, you will find us at number 130. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes if you are new to the building, but we like it here. Kohinoor Stores & Gift House is really just a place where we keep all sorts of things people might need for a birthday or a quick gift. I spend a lot of my morning just moving boxes around and making sure the glass shelves are clean. The sun hits the front window in a certain way in the afternoon, making it quite warm inside. People come in from the nearby offices during their lunch break just to look at the frames or the small statues we have. Sometimes they buy something, sometimes they just chat. Pimpri has changed a lot, with more traffic and new shops, but our corner feels familiar. We try to keep a variety of stuff, even though the space is limited. I remember when we first set up the gift house; it felt like a huge task. Now, it’s just the daily routine of opening the shutters and saying hello to the neighbors. There is always some noise from the road, but you get used to it after a year or two. We don't have fancy displays, just items on the shelves. It’s alright. I usually drink my tea near the counter while waiting for the next person to walk in.
