KitchenNest

KitchenNest is located over in the Vittal Rukhami Housing Society, which is a pretty well-known spot near Santosh Hall. If you know Sinhagad Road, you know it can get pretty backed up with traffic, but once you turn into Hingne Khurd, it settles down a little. We are at number 39,2. It is more of a practical workspace than a big showroom. We have shelves lined with all sorts of things, and sometimes it feels like we are running out of room, but we manage to find a spot for everything eventually. People usually find us because they live nearby or they’ve heard about us from a neighbor. We spend a lot of our time just sorting through stock and making sure we have what people are looking for. The building itself is older, but it stays cool enough in the summer. There is always a stack of bubble wrap or boxes in the corner because we are constantly packing things up. It’s not the most organized looking place if you just walk in, but we know where every single item is kept. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the day-to-day bits. We might be busy on the phone or checking a list, but we always look up when someone comes through the door. It’s a local way of doing things, and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and get the work finished.
