Kisan Trupti Mahila Farmers Producer

We are the women who started Kisan Trupti Mahila Farmers Producer. Our group works out of Khedgaon, which is in the Kalwan area of Nashik district. You can find us at Balasaheb Trambak Pagar's place, specifically at Gate Number 40/1. It’s just a regular spot where we meet up to talk about the crops and figure out our next steps. Most of us have been farming for years and we decided it was better to do things together than on our own. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us sitting around and planning what needs to happen with the harvest. Nashik gets some good weather for what we do, but it still takes a lot of effort every day. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure things move along. Sometimes the weather doesn't go our way and that’s just how it is in this line of work. We try to keep things simple and honest. Being a group of women farmers means we have to balance a lot of things at home too. We appreciate having a place like this in Kalwan where we can focus on the farm work. It’s a local thing, really. We know the land around here well because we’ve lived here our whole lives. That’s pretty much what we are about, just local people trying to make a living from the soil and helping out where we can.
