Kirloskar Brothers

Our place is called Ashirwad and it sits on Plot No 2 in Yashwant Nagar. We are out in Talegaon Dabhade, which is part of the Maval area in Pune district. The air is a bit fresher here than in the middle of the city, which is one of the perks of being at this location. We use this spot as our base for Kirloskar Brothers work. It’s a residential-style building that we’ve turned into a workspace. There’s a small garden out front that someone tries to keep tidy, though the weeds usually win. Inside, it’s a mix of desks, computer screens, and boxes of manuals. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door goes to see who it is. The commute from Pune can be a bit of a trek, but we like being in this part of the district. It’s quiet enough that you can actually focus on the paperwork. Sometimes the neighbors’ dogs bark during our calls, but that’s just life in Talegaon. We have our tea together in the small kitchen area and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s a very normal, human place to work. No one is trying to impress anyone with big words or fancy furniture. We just do our jobs and go home at the end of the day, hoping the train back into the city isn't too delayed.
