Kirans Salon

Kirans Salon is located at 1717 Sadashiv Peth, in Shop No 6 on Tilak Road. We are right by S P College, which means there are always students walking past the shop. We are also opposite the Scout Ground and next to the Udyan Mangal Karyalaya. It’s a very busy spot with lots of vehicles and people all the time. The shop itself is small and narrow. We have a few chairs lined up against the wall and a big mirror on the other side. Because of the college nearby, we see a lot of young guys coming in for a haircut between their lectures. They usually talk about their exams or cricket. The shop can get quite noisy because of the traffic on Tilak Road, and sometimes the dust from the street comes inside. We have a small cupboard for our towels and tools. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or soft music. We just have a fan and the sound of the city outside. I’ve been here for a while, and it’s interesting to see the different people who stop by. We open early in the morning and stay open until the evening rush is over. It’s a simple business, just providing a place for a haircut in a very crowded part of Pune. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep the scissors sharp and the chairs ready for the next person who walks in from the street.
