Kille Purandar Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out in Mandhartal. We are a group of local women who decided to group together to handle our farming business better. Purandar is where we live and work, specifically around the 412311 area. It isn't always easy running a company while also looking after the house and the kids, but we manage somehow. We don't have some big headquarters; we just use the space we have at the post in Mandhartal. Most of our days are spent out in the dirt, checking on crops or talking to other growers about what's working this year. We started this because we wanted to have more of a say in how our vegetables and grains are sold. There’s a lot of paperwork, which none of us really like, but it’s necessary to keep things official. We aren't experts in business speak or fancy computers. We just know when the rain is coming and what the soil needs. If you come by, you'll see it's a very down-to-earth setup. No suits or ties here. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays off at the end of the season. It’s just us women trying to do right by our families and our land. It’s honest work, and we’re proud to be doing it together in this village.
