I run my legal practice out of an office in Sadashiv Peth, specifically in Sector 44, at D 113. It’s a quiet enough area for the kind of work I do. Being an advocate means I spend a lot of my time reading through case files and preparing for court dates. My office isn't one of those big, fancy law firms you see on TV. It’s just a room filled with books and stacks of papers on every available surface. I’ve been here for a while, so I’ve gotten used to the way the light comes in through the window in the afternoons. Most of my clients are people from the neighborhood or others who have heard about me from friends. I handle a lot of the work myself, though I have someone who helps with the filing and the scheduling. It’s a lot of long hours, sometimes staying well into the night to get everything ready for the next day. Sadashiv Peth is a good place to be based; it has a certain character to it. I don’t have a big staff or a receptionist at the front. If you call, you’ll probably talk directly to me. I prefer it that way because it keeps things simple and direct. It’s just me doing my best to help people with their legal issues from this small office. Sometimes the pile of folders gets a bit high, but I know where everything is.
