Kasamade Mahila Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Lakhmapur in the Satana area. If you find yourself on Nimbola Road, you will see Anuman Niwas. That is where we do most of our work. This is a group of women who decided to get together and handle the farming business ourselves. Usually, it’s just us talking about the seeds, the rain, and how much we can get for our harvest. It’s not a very formal place. You might see children running around or hear us having tea while we discuss the month's plans. We chose the name because we wanted something that felt like it belonged to the women here. Working in the fields is one thing, but managing the actual company side is something we are still getting the hang of. It’s a lot of learning as we go. Lakhmapur is a small place and everyone knows everyone. We don't have any big speeches or marketing plans. We just want to make sure the work we do in the soil actually pays off for our families. Some days the electricity is out or the water is low, and we just have to figure it out together. It’s a practical way of living and we just take it one day at a time without any fuss or corporate polish. It is just how things are for us.
