Kanhadesh Farmers Producer Company

We are based at Gt.No 07 in Kharda, which is part of the Deola taluka. It’s a pretty quiet spot, mostly just fields and farm roads around here. This company is just a bunch of us farmers who decided to team up. We don't have a fancy building or anything like that. Most of our meetings happen outdoors or in a small shed we use for storage. We work the land like everyone else in Deola. The idea was just to help each other get better prices and maybe save some money on things like fertilizer or equipment. It’s a lot of physical work and we aren't always great at the administrative side of things. We have to help each other out with the forms and the banking. Some of us have been farming here for thirty years, and some are just starting out. We share what we know about the soil and the weather. It’s not a polished business with a mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure our crops grow and we have enough to get by. If you come by Kharda, you’ll see our fields. We are just local people trying to make the most of what we have. It’s a tough life sometimes, but we prefer working for ourselves this way. When the sun goes down over Deola, we usually finish up and head home to our families. It's a repetitive cycle, but there's a certain peace in it.
