Kanchan Novelties

Kanchan Novelties is a small shop I run at A/6 in Pimpri. It’s not a huge place with bright lights and fancy displays. It’s more of a traditional local store where things are stacked up on the shelves from floor to ceiling. Pimpri is a very active market area, so there’s always a lot of foot traffic right outside. I’ve been here for quite some time, and I’ve seen many other shops come and go. I mainly keep things that people in the neighborhood need every day, like school supplies, small kitchen items, and gifts for children. It’s just me and one helper most of the time. We don't have a computer system or anything like that; I still do everything by hand. The shop can get a bit dusty because of the main road, so I spend a lot of my time with a duster in my hand. I like the fact that I know most of my customers by name. We often end up talking about our families or what’s happening in the market while they browse through the items. I don't really do any advertising. People just know where I am and what I sell. It’s a simple life and it keeps me busy from morning until late evening. Sometimes it’s a struggle to find space for new stock, but we always manage to squeeze it in somehow. It’s my own little corner of Pimpri and I’m quite happy with it.
