Kalika Interior Architect

Our office is tucked away in Bhavnath Society, over in Sadashiv Peth. It is a busy neighborhood, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We do interior architecture, which really just means we spend a lot of time thinking about how to fix up the inside of buildings. We have sketches and samples of materials scattered all over the place. It is not the tidiest office, but that is because we are usually right in the middle of something. People drop in to talk about their houses or shops, and we just sit down with a cup of tea and look at their floor plans. We do not have any fancy sales people. It is just us doing the actual work. Some projects are small and some take months, but we treat them all about the same. We have lived in this area for years, so we know the local styles and what people usually want. We do not try to push anything too modern if it does not fit the space. It is more about making things work for the person living there. Sometimes the contractors have delays or the materials do not arrive on time, and we have to figure out a plan B. That is just part of the job. We do not make big promises we cannot keep. We just do the drawing and the planning and hope for the best. It is just us working in the society.
