Kalika Interior & Architect

We’re tucked away in Sadashiv Peth inside the Bhavnath Society. Kalika Interior & Architect is a small place where we handle both the inside and the outside of buildings. Working in Sadashiv Peth means space is always tight, both in our office and in the projects we take on. We spend a lot of time figuring out how to make things fit into small plots or old structures. It’s a lot of measuring and then measuring again because the old walls are never straight. There are a few of us here, and the office usually smells like old paper and ink. We don't have any big signs or fancy glass doors. It’s just a regular door in the society. Most of our clients are people from around here who know us or have seen our work nearby. We do the drawings, help pick out materials, and try to make sure the builders follow the plan. It’s a lot of coordination. Sometimes things go wrong at the site, and we have to run over there to figure it out. That’s part of the job. We don’t talk about design philosophy; we just talk about where the pipes should go and how to get more light into a room. It’s simple, local work that keeps us busy from morning till night. We just try to make the most out of every square inch.
