Kalakruti Steel Furniture Pvt Ltd is located over at 33 Virkar Complex. We are right near Cummins Circle in Dahanukar Colony, which is part of the Kothrud area in Pune. If you know Maharashtra, you know this part of town is pretty active. Our shop is where we keep all the metal desks, cabinets, and chairs. It smells like iron and paint most days, which is just part of the job. We aren't into fancy showroom setups. Instead, we have stuff stacked where it fits so we can get to it easily. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, but we know where every piece is. People usually come to us when they need something sturdy that will last a long time. We don't do much talking; we just show the furniture and tell the price. The complex is always busy with people coming and going. We’ve been at this spot long enough that the nearby shopkeepers are all friends. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just make and sell steel furniture. It’s heavy work, moving those pieces around, but it keeps us busy throughout the week. If you’re in Kothrud and near the circle, you can’t really miss the sign for the complex. We’re usually in the back or near the loading area, getting things ready for delivery. It's a lot of sweat but it's a good honest living for the guys here.
