We are located at Sharad Ramchandra Kakade’s place in Sahakarnagar. It is a flat, number 231, in the Chitralekha Society right near the Marketyard area. This part of town gets very busy with all the trucks and people coming to buy and sell produce. We started this because the farmers around here needed a way to work together without getting lost in the big system. Our office is not a fancy place with glass doors or big signs. It is just a room where we keep our files and meet up for tea. Most days, someone is dropping by to talk about the latest prices or to complain about the rain. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the local land. The Marketyard is loud all morning, and we usually start early too. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the small table we have. We don't really do advertisements or anything like that. People know us by word of mouth. If you come by, you might find us busy with the registers or just sitting out front. It’s a simple life and the work is mostly about the seasons and what the ground gives us. We don't use big words or have a mission statement on the wall. We just want to get the crops to the market and make sure everyone gets a fair deal for their hard work in the fields.
