If you’re ever in Ralegaon, you can find us at the Trimurti Complex, specifically in room G-27. We go by Jivanvikas Cultivators Producer Company Limited. It’s a bit of a long name for what we actually do, which is just helping the local cultivators around here get organized. Mr. Arunrao Mahadev Mahakulkar is one of the main people behind this, and he’s been farming for a long time. We aren’t experts in marketing or anything like that. We’re just people who know what it’s like to have a bad harvest and nobody to turn to. We started this because we figured if we pooled our resources, we might be able to get better prices for things. Most days involve a lot of talk about the local markets and which crops are doing well. It’s a quiet kind of work, but it’s important to us. The Trimurti Complex is usually where we meet up to discuss things and try to solve the problems that pop up every day. Farming in this area has its challenges, but doing it together makes it feel a bit less overwhelming. We don't have a big mission or any corporate slogans. We’re just trying to make a living and help our friends do the same. It’s about being practical and helping each other out when the going gets tough. We’ve been here for a while and plan on staying as long as the land lets us.
