We opened Jayesh Gift Articals & General Stores a while back at Shop No 4 in the Ravi Teres building over in Ambegaon. It’s a small place, nothing fancy, just a local shop where we keep a bit of everything people might need. If you live around S No 33/13, you probably pass by us pretty often. We have gift items for birthdays or small functions, and then the general store side has the daily stuff. It gets busy in the evenings when people are heading home and realize they forgot something. The shop isn't huge but we try to stock the shelves well so nobody leaves empty-handed. Most of our customers are folks from the neighborhood who we’ve known for years now. Sometimes the lighting isn't the brightest and the aisles are a bit narrow because of all the boxes, but that’s just how it is. We spend most of the day organizing things or chatting with someone who stopped in for a pen or a small toy. It's a simple life running a store like this in Ambegaon. We don't really do much advertising or anything, word just gets around. Usually, I'm behind the counter or checking the inventory in the back. It’s just us here, trying to keep things running and making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs a quick gift or a household item on their way back from work.
