Our office is over in Flat Number 2, Unit A at Rahul Park. It’s in the Lokmanya Nagar area, right off Paud Road here in Pune. Being chartered accountants means we spend a lot of time looking at numbers and forms. It gets pretty quiet in here during the day, mostly just the sound of typing and calculators. Jayant Joshi started this firm because he wanted to work for himself and help out people in the neighborhood with their taxes and accounts. We aren't one of those massive firms in a glass skyscraper. We like being in a residential complex like Rahul Park. It feels more personal. Clients come by, sit on the old chairs, and we go over their paperwork. Sometimes we have tea while we work through a difficult filing. Maharashtra’s rules change often, so we stay busy keeping up. The office isn't modern or anything. We have files stacked up and some old wooden desks. It works for us. Paud Road is usually jammed with people, but once you get inside Unit A, it’s a bit calmer. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now. We know the regular faces around Lokmanya Nagar. We don’t use big words or try to confuse anyone. We just explain the numbers as they are. If you need someone to look at your books, we’re usually here. No fancy receptionists, just us doing the work and getting through the tax season like everyone else.
