Jars Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is a small group we put together here in Dahipuri. You can find us at House Number 429 in the Ambad area. We are all farmers who live nearby and decided that working as a collective was a better way to handle our business. It’s hard to get good prices for your crops when you’re just one person, so this group helps us stand together. The office is just a regular house where we keep our files and meet up when the sun goes down and the field work is finished. We aren't looking for any awards or trying to be famous. We just want to farm our land and get a fair price for what we grow. Ambad is a good place for farming, but it has its challenges like anywhere else in this district. We spend most of our time out in the dirt, checking on the crops and making sure the water is right. We don't use fancy talk or try to sound like a big company from the city. We are just local people. Sometimes we have meetings to talk about which seeds to buy or how to get the harvest to the market in a cheaper way. It’s practical, everyday stuff that matters to us. If you need us, come by the house in Dahipuri. There’s usually someone around to talk to, unless we’re all busy in the fields. We just take it one day at a time.
