Janseva Hair Saloon

If you find yourself in the Ganj Peth area of Pune, you might see us across from the Fire Brigade. The address is Srno 54Hp in Lohiay Nagar. Janseva Hair Saloon is just a small local shop where men come to get a shave or a quick haircut. We’ve been here for a while and the firemen from across the street often pop in when they have some downtime. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of movement, so there’s always someone sitting on the bench waiting their turn. I don’t believe in overcomplicating things. A haircut shouldn't take forever and it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. I learned how to cut hair from my uncle, and now I run this place with that same old-school approach. We use regular spray bottles and hand clippers mostly. The shop isn't very big, maybe enough for three or four people to sit inside comfortably. On rainy days, it gets a bit cramped, but everyone is usually friendly and doesn't mind sharing the space. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here. It’s just a honest way to earn a living in Pune. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot and stay until the last customer is done. It’s simple, hard work, but seeing a neighbor walk out looking a bit sharper makes it worth it.
