Janhitkarini Agro Producer Company Limited is based in Pune City, specifically at Flora, Flat 104. We are right on Survey Number 65/3B. It’s a group effort here. We are what they call a producer company, which mostly means we are a bunch of people trying to make the agricultural side of things work better for everyone involved. Being in an apartment building in the city might seem odd for an agro company, but it works for us. It’s where we do all the planning and the paperwork that keeps the actual field work going. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do right by the people who rely on us. Most of us have some connection to the land, even if we are sitting in an office in Pune right now. We talk to farmers, figure out where the produce needs to go, and try to get the best situation for the members. It is a lot of coordination. There are days when the phones don't stop ringing and days when it’s just us catching up on logs. We don't use big words or try to sound like we know everything. We just know that if we work together, things go a bit smoother. It’s a practical way to handle the business of farming in a modern city like Pune. Our team usually meets early in the morning before the city traffic gets too loud to think straight.
