Jainam Novelty

Our shop, Jainam Novelty, is right on the main road in Vidyanagar. It’s a good spot because everyone passes by here eventually. We have all sorts of small items and trinkets. The shelves are packed pretty tight, so you have to look closely to find what you want. We try to keep things tidy, but with kids coming in and out after school, it's hard. The front door stays open most of the day to let in a breeze, though that brings in some dust from the road too. I've been working here for years and I know where almost every single item is kept, even the tiny things hidden in the back. It’s a local place where neighbors stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. We don't have fancy displays, just glass cases and some hooks on the walls. In the evenings, the street lights come on and the area gets a bit livelier. We usually close up once the foot traffic dies down for the night. Sometimes we get new stock in and the whole floor is covered in cardboard boxes for a few hours. It's just me and my brother most days. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we're here on the main road if they need a gift or some small household thing. It's a simple business but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
