We are out in Revgaon in the Jalna district. Jadaai Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at Surayakant Prabhakar Kadam’s place. It’s a very rural setting, which is exactly where an agro company should be if you ask me. We don't have a big sign or a glass building. Most people just know to come to Surya’s house. We focus on the farmers around here because we are those farmers ourselves. Jalna has its own challenges with the climate and the soil. We try to pool our resources to make things a little easier for everyone in Revgaon. It’s a lot of manual work and checking on the fields. We don't have a big team of experts. We just have years of experience doing this every day. Sometimes we get together in the evenings to talk about what needs to be bought for the next season. It’s a very informal way of doing business but it works for us. We don't use big words or have complicated missions. We just want to make sure the crops get sold and everyone gets a fair share. It’s simple, really. Some days the paperwork gets a bit much but we manage somehow. Being a producer company means we all have a stake in it. It’s not just a job for us. It is our life out here in the fields of Jalna and we are okay with that. We just do our best.
