The office is right over at Mangalwar Peth, specifically near Mal Dhakka Chowk. If you have ever been to that part of town, you know it is always moving. Number 414 is where we spend most of our daylight hours. J H Shaikh Company has been operating out of this spot through all kinds of weather. It gets pretty loud with the traffic coming off the chowk, but you get used to the horns and the shouting after a week or two. We handle a lot of the day-to-day business right from this desk. It’s mostly paperwork and phone calls these days. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it keeps us cool enough. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of people. It’s just a small group of us trying to keep things organized. Usually, we take our tea break in the afternoon when the sun is at its worst. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, new buildings coming up where old ones used to be. But Mal Dhakka stays the same kind of busy. We like being centrally located because it makes it easier to get things moved around. It is a practical place for a practical business. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just what we need to work.
