India Gift House

Our shop, India Gift House, is located at 335 Sachapir Street, right near the Hanuman Mandir in the Camp area. It’s a very busy part of town, especially on Tuesdays when everyone goes to the temple. We’ve been here for years, and the shop has a lot of history in these walls. We sell a bit of everything, from small trinkets to bigger items for weddings or festivals. The shelves are quite high and sometimes we need a ladder to get the things from the top. It’s mostly family running the place. We start early in the morning, sweeping the front and getting things ready for the day. Sachapir Street is always full of energy and different smells from the nearby food stalls. We have customers who used to come here as children and now they bring their own kids. It makes us feel old but happy. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound, but it keeps us cool during the hot afternoons. We don't use a computer for everything; we still write many things down in our big ledger books. It’s just the way we’ve always done it. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic in Camp, but we manage. If you’re looking for something specific, you might have to dig around a bit. We don't mind if people take their time looking at the shelves. It’s a relaxed place despite the noise outside. There is always someone here to help if you cannot find what you want.
