Inamdar Clinic

Our clinic is tucked away in New Modikhana, which is quite close to Poona College in the Camp area. If you walk down M G Road, you are basically right there. It’s an old part of town with narrow streets and lots of history. The clinic itself is quite small and doesn’t have much in the way of fancy stuff. We have some benches for people to sit on while they wait. Since we are near the college, we get a lot of students coming in with coughs or minor injuries from playing sports. We also see the older folks who have lived in New Modikhana their whole lives. It’s a mix of everyone, really. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We use a lot of handwritten notes and old-fashioned files because that’s what we are used to. The area is always busy with people walking to the market or the college. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the motorbikes outside. We aren't trying to be a big hospital or anything like that. We just provide a place where people can come when they don't feel well. It’s a simple setup, and we’ve been here long enough that the locals just treat us like part of the furniture. We keep the doors open and just take things as they come.
