We operate out of Moshi, specifically at the address J3/6. It is an area that is still growing and developing in a lot of ways, so it is a bit quieter than being stuck in the middle of the main city traffic. Our workspace is filled with several computers and a couple of large whiteboards that are covered in marker scribbles that only we can really understand. We work on various technology projects, which mostly involves a lot of coding and then testing things out to see where they might break. It is a lot of trial and error every day. The office itself is not very big, so we are all sitting pretty close to each other’s desks most of the time. We usually have some music playing softly in the background, or otherwise it is just the sound of people typing on their keyboards. We do not have a fancy lobby or a big sign that lights up the street at night. It is just a regular door in a building in Moshi. We spend a lot of time on calls or just staring at our screens trying to find a tiny bug hidden in the code. Lunch is usually something simple we grab from the local food stalls just down the road. We are not really interested in the whole corporate lifestyle or wearing suits. We just want to get the work finished so we can go home. Some days are slow and we just talk, and other days it is non-stop work until late.
