Icon Systems

Icon Systems is located at Talwade Sangamvadi 169. It’s a functional space where we work on computers and other electronic stuff that people bring in. We have a lot of spare parts lying around on the workbenches—tiny screws, tangled cables, and old monitors that we use for testing. It’s not the neatest place in the world, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We spend most of our time looking at bright screens or opening up hardware to see what’s wrong inside. The neighborhood of Talwade is a bit industrial and busy, so it fits the kind of technical work we do every day. We aren't a big company with a huge board of directors or a human resources department. It’s just a few of us who know our way around a motherboard and a soldering iron. Sometimes a repair takes a lot longer than we originally thought, and the shop stays open late into the night while we try to figure out a stubborn problem. We drink a lot of tea to keep going while we work. The front door has a bit of a squeak when you open it, which lets us know when someone has walked in. We don't do much in the way of advertising; usually, people just find us by word of mouth or if they live nearby in the Sangamvadi area. It’s steady, quiet work for the most part. We don't have a fancy reception area with chairs, just a simple counter for machines.
