Our office is tucked away in Flat No 101 at Wing A of Raheja Gardens. It is a bit different working out of a residential-style complex like this in Wanwori. You get the quiet of the gardens but it still feels like we are in the middle of things here in Pune. Being on the first floor is handy because we do not have to wait for the lift which is always busy with people coming and going anyway. Ibm India Pvt Ltd has had this spot for a bit and it works for what we need. We are not trying to impress anyone with big signs or glass walls. The desks are spread out and there is a small kitchen area where someone is usually making coffee or heating up lunch. It feels more like a home than a corporate headquarters which actually helps us focus on the tasks. We deal with various projects and data tasks throughout the day. Some of us have been here for years while others are newer to the team. We do not have those big boardrooms you see in movies. Most of our meetings happen while standing around someone’s desk or over a quick break. The neighborhood is nice and green which is a relief when you have been staring at a computer screen for six hours straight. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized. It is a practical way to work and it suits our daily routine.
