Hyatt Regency

We’re located in Pune, which is where we’ve set up shop. Hyatt Regency is a big part of the local landscape here, and the building itself is something we spend a lot of time in every single day. Living and working in Pune means you get used to the noise and the constant movement of people coming from all over. We’ve got a lot of rooms and different spaces to look after, and it keeps the entire staff on their toes from early in the morning until late at night. It’s a lot of walking back and forth through the hallways, checking on things. We don’t really go in for those polished, pre-written speeches about hospitality; we just focus on making sure the floors are swept and the guests have their keys when they need them. Some days are just about managing the chaos of a busy lobby or dealing with a plumbing issue that popped up out of nowhere in one of the rooms. It’s a practical kind of job for us. We’ve seen this city change quite a bit from our windows over the years, but we just stay focused on our routine. The team here is just a bunch of regular people trying to do a decent job without making a big fuss about it. We don’t have a fancy mission statement on the wall, just a schedule that we try to stick to. It’s a big operation, but we take it one small task at a time. That’s just how we do things in our corner of Pune.
