Hotel Master Cook

Hotel Master Cook is situated at Wakad 84/1. It is more of a local eatery than what some people might think of as a hotel. We have a front area where people can see the cooking happening. There is a lot of steam and the sound of ladles hitting the pans. We've got some wooden tables and benches that have seen better days. The floor is tiled but some of them are cracked. We don't have any fancy tablecloths or soft music. It is usually just the sound of the traffic from the road and people talking loudly over their meals. We serve hearty portions because that’s what the people around here want. The kitchen is always a bit of a mess during the rush, with vegetable peels and spice jars everywhere. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can. Wakad has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings, but we are still here in the same spot. We know the delivery drivers and the local shopkeepers who come in for their lunch. Sometimes we run out of the special dish by two in the afternoon. We don't have a website or a marketing person. We just have our name on a board outside. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the lights go out at night. We just keep the burners going and make sure there is enough salt in the pot.
