We are over here at Plot No-011Nilajgaon. Hoodpatil Farmer Producer Company Limited started because a few of us nearby were tired of how hard it was to get things done on our own. We grew up around these fields. My father farmed here too. Now, we use this spot at Nilajgaon to manage our paperwork and keep the seeds and tools organized. It isn't a big fancy office, just a room where we sit and talk about the weather or the price of what we grew last season. Sometimes the rains are good, sometimes they aren't, so we try to help each other out. Being a farmer producer company just means we pool our resources together so we don't get pushed around by the big markets as much. Everyone in the village knows where we are located. We spend most of our days out in the dirt, not behind a desk, so if you come by and the door is locked, we are probably out checking on the crops. Life in Nilajgaon is quiet but busy in its own way. We deal with whatever the season brings us. It took a while to get the registration sorted, but we finally did it. There's no secret to it, we just want to make sure the work we do pays off for our families. That is pretty much the whole story of how we ended up here at Plot No-011Nilajgaon.
