Harjivan Medical Foundation

Our foundation is located right in Shukruwar Peth, just across from Saras Baug. It’s a busy area, especially on weekends when people are out at the park. We’ve been at this address, 983/9, for a long time. Harjivan isn’t a fancy private hospital; it’s more of a community foundation. We see a lot of people who need medical help but maybe can’t afford the big corporate hospitals in the city. The building is older, and you can tell it’s seen a lot of use over the years. We have different departments, but everything is pretty compact. The staff here works hard. It’s not just about the doctors; the people at the front desk and the ones cleaning the floors are just as important. We get a lot of regulars from the Peth area. They know us and we know them. Sometimes we have to deal with a lot of paperwork because of how the foundation is set up, but that’s just the administrative side of things. It can get a bit hectic in the afternoons when the heat is up and the waiting room is full. We just keep the fans going and try to see everyone as quickly as we can. It’s a place where people come when they don't know where else to go. We just try to be helpful and provide the care that’s needed for whatever comes through the door. Often we stay late to finish the filing and get everything ready for tomorrow morning.
