You can find Hari Om Novelties at Sr No 164-12 in Shastri Nagar, which is part of Kothrud. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time. The shop is a simple place where we sell everyday items like hair clips, small toys, and household plastic goods. Kothrud is a busy area, but our street is a bit quieter. We get a lot of local residents coming in to buy things they need for their houses. It’s not a fancy store with bright lights. We just have basic shelves and a small counter where I sit. I’ve known many of my customers for years. We talk about the weather or how the local area is changing. It feels more like a community spot than just a business. Sometimes my son helps me out on his days off. We try to keep things in order, but it’s hard when you have hundreds of small items. We don’t use any computers for the bills, just a simple book and pen. It works fine for us. Sometimes the rainy season makes things a bit damp, so we have to be careful with the paper goods. We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop in Pune. We just want to provide what people need at a price that makes sense. It’s a quiet life and we like it that way. We open up early and stay until the street lights come on. It's just how we do things here. We often have a small radio playing in the background.
