Haaji Hair Dressers

We’ve been here at Shop 1 in Kausar Baug for a while now. Most people know the spot right on Nibm Road, near the corner where it gets busy. It’s just a small place with the usual chairs and mirrors you’d expect in a barber shop. We spend our days doing haircuts and shaves for the folks living around Nibm-Kondhwa Khurd. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded on weekends, but that’s just how it is. It isn’t fancy or anything. Just a place where you can sit down, get your hair trimmed, and talk about the weather or whatever else is going on in Pune. The mirrors are a bit old and the floor needs a sweep pretty often because of all the hair. We keep the scissors sharp and the fans running to stay cool. People stop by on their way home or while running errands near Kausar Baug Road. It’s just a regular local shop where we know many of the faces coming through the door. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us working through the day. Sometimes we have tea between customers when things quiet down for a few minutes. It’s simple work, really. Just keeping people looking decent. If you’re around this part of Kondhwa, you’ve probably seen our sign out front. We just keep doing what we do every day.
