I've been running Gyandeep Academy here in Bibvewadi for some time now. We are tucked away in Parijat Housing Soc., which is a quiet enough spot for the students to focus. People often ask how we manage with so many different grades coming in, but we just make it work. It gets a bit busy in the afternoons when the school buses drop everyone off. We usually start around 4 PM. Most of the kids live right here in the society or just down the road. It’s mostly about getting through the homework and making sure they understand the basics of math and science. Sometimes we stay late if a test is coming up. The rooms aren't fancy, just some desks and a whiteboard, but they do the job. My neighbor sometimes complains about the bicycles parked out front, so I’m always telling the boys to line them up better. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a local place where we try to help out. Pune summers get hot, so the fans are always going full blast. We don't have a big staff, just me and a couple of others who know the syllabus well. It’s hard work, but seeing a kid finally get a difficult concept makes the long hours worth it. We don't do much advertising; usually, parents just hear about us from other parents in the building. It’s just how things are around here.
