Gurudatt Fabrication

Our workshop is located in the Kuruli area, inside the Kalakunj Society in Kareli. Gurudatt Fabrication is basically where we spend all our daylight hours. It’s a place filled with the smell of metal and the sound of machines running. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It’s just a local workshop where we make things and fix things. The Kalakunj Society is a decent place to be based. It’s got a bit of a community feel to it. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to see what we are working on. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with our sleeves rolled up, actually doing the work. We use simple tools and traditional methods for a lot of what we do. It’s not about being the most modern; it’s about making sure the job is solid. We don't use big marketing words. We just tell people what we can do and how long it will take. If we can’t do it, we say so. It’s pretty honest work. The shop gets a bit messy with scraps and dust, but that’s just how fabrication goes. We clean up at the end of the week, but by Monday morning, it’s back to business. It’s a living, and we’re glad to be doing it here in Kareli. There is always something that needs welding or cutting around here, and we just get on with it. We don't try to make it sound more important than it is. It's just metalwork.
